Party of 3 - Boys!

Our Associate Photographer, Valerie, finished off the month of October with this treat on Halloween morning...a family with three boys!!!

Starting with the two older boys!  LOOK at that height difference.  I love it. (a little texture added to give this one a vintage feel).

Add in a baby brother and this mom will have her hands full for years to come keeping up with these three!

And one more...the middle boy because the middle child always seems to get lost in the shuffle!  Look at the sparkle in his eyes!

Blogging a busy boy....

This sneak peek is WAY behind...Sorry mom.  My main workstation just up and died last week and it took a few days to get a new one put together!!!

Anyway, here are some photos from my fun, but hot, session with this 18 month old boy.  He has gotten so grown up!  It was my fourth session with him and I can't believe how he has grown.

Thankfully we moved this appt to 8am.  It was originally for 9 but I think it would have been too hot!

A very momentary break in the action.  This little guy was on the move, practically non-stop.

Evidence of the busy boy!

Mom was getting his snack out for him.  Note how happy he is about his snack.  And all his teeth!!!

IMG_4243-Edit
He's really pretty steady on his feet now.  Of course, I HAD to do this composite picture.

Check out how he has grown: newborn | 6 month | 1 year

A Busy Little Boy

This was my third session with this little cutie and what a difference.  Having just celebrated his first birthday he was ready to RUN!!!  His mom and I chased him all around this park and we explored all the corners, trees, and had a "rest" in the gazebo (there was no resting for him!).

(this is what happens when you get too close to a one year old with a camera...he grabbed on!!!).  Oh, and he is teething but I couldn't bring myself to edit out the drool!  I love it.

IMG_1609-Edit
He sat for all of about 2.5 seconds then he got up and took off.  Mom and I were exhausted after chasing him around.

IMG_1669-Edit
Look at those two little teeth!  Poor mom-this little guy is teething and had her up SUPER early that day because he was unhappy about it.  Glad being outdoors made him happy.

Big Eyes and a Boy

This little guys was so adorable it was hard to choose just a few for his sneak peek.  He had giant happy brown eyes.  During much of the session he was giving us funny fake closed mouth smiles but once he saw his mama dancing and having fun the smiles poured out of him.

Bald Baby Girl

This little girl reminded me so much of my own daughter with her big giant eyes and lack of hair.  She has wise eyes...doesn't it look like she is keeping a secret?  I textured the middle picture to add a little warmth to the background...it is Fall after all!

Trying to get the rest of my sneak peeks up today!!!

Girls Morning Out

This morning was my third session in baby A's baby plan package and she was a total delight.  Her mom warned that she thought she was teething but she was sweet, happy, and ADORABLE during her session this morning.  We headed over to the Molly Pryor Orchard that is part of Terry Hershey Park in Houston's energy corridor and enjoyed the lush grounds there.  I was so thrilled to see plants in bloom again.

Her little purple tutu skirt was precious and she really enjoyed her mom singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to entertain her while I snuck in for some shots.

It is so nice to see babies growing up and becoming little people.  This session I could really see the resemblance to her brother.  But today was all about her and she was all by herself with her mama so she got all the attention.

Princess in the Park

Every little girl deserves a chance to look like a princess and this two year old beauty certainly looked the part.  It was a little chilly today and overcast for much of the day but she looked great all in the name of beautiful pictures.  Her big bow REALLY didn't want to stay put so I was lucky to get ANY pictures with it still in.  The little Molly Pryor Orchard, part of Terry Hershey Park, provided several little pockets of light that helped create magical pictures of her in the olive green silk dress!  I love the giant tree in the background of her standing picture.  It adds a lot of texture to the picture and really helps the green of her dress POP.  Her one year pictures are still among my favorites for that age!  She has grown up so much! Thanks for my goodbye hug at the end of the session too!

Blue Eyed Boys

It would have been hard NOT to have a good time with these two little guys this morning.  First the older brother who loves trains (and lucky for me I had one with me).  Of course, a two year old is hard to get to sit still but I chased him around so I got my exercise for the day.  And when he put on his Halloween costume and I asked him what a pirate says he answered without hesitation "ARRRRRR".  It was so cute!  Baby boy was none too happy when we tried to lay him down on his tummy but lucky for us he liked it when his mama held him and later on he fell asleep so we got some sleeping baby pictures.  Both boys have absolutely beautiful blue eyes.  Are there more blue eyes in Texas?  I seem to photograph a lot of kids with blue eyes!

Another Beautiful Family

Img_8721edit

I was so lucky to get to photograph this beautiful family on Sunday morning.  The kids are very close in age to my kids.  Here's their sneak peek.  I loved this little spot we found at the park.  What you can't see is my reflector stuck up in the tree to block the little bits of sunlight that were trying to sneak through.  Unfortunately I forgot that it was there until I was already on my way home and had to turn around to get it.  I wonder if it would have just stayed there until I went back this morning for a shoot?  Look for lots of sneak peeks this week...I have 5 shoots this week!

This morning I got together with a pair of parents, two dogs, and three kids under the age of 6 for pictures.  Not an easy task to be sure but we managed!  I don't get many dads in on the pictures because let's be honest, dads don't love to be involved in pictures but we got some great ones of this dad! The baby is turning 1 next week and was a little grumpy for most of the shoot but he LOVED playing the the basket.
