With February knocking on our door, we know the Valentine's Day parties are around the corner. Rather than getting the same old Valentine's day cards from the local super store, why not get a custom Valentine's day card? As we return to our traditional pricing model, we have decided to have a
one time promotion as a farewell to the digital by design sessions. We will
accept ONE digital by design reservation per month for all of 2010.
So, if you know you want to book a portrait session for 2010 and that
you'd prefer the $495 for a disk of 25 high resolution fully edited
images,visit our new pricing information page and scroll to the bottom to choose the month you would like to reserve from the available months.
Upon completion of your reservation we can schedule a specific time and
date during the month that you reserved. Our newsletter subscribers were sent out this promotion late last week and we have already booked January, April, October, and November sessions!
Our recent 15 minute Micro Mini sessions were such a big hit that we've decided to do one more day of them this holiday season....on Saturday November 7th. We'll be offering our $99 sessions at three locations: Creekside Park in The Woodlands, the Bubblegum Tree Loft near downtown Houston, and Town and Country Village in Houston. Please note: Micro Mini Sessions are available only for a single child with our without parents included. Siblings require booking an additional session time or consider a full length portrait session. We are currently offering full length sessions with our associates for $250 if you book before November 1st for sessions taking place November 1 - December 5.

Our mini portrait sessions yesterday in The Woodlands were a BIG hit. Thank you to Baby Cha Cha for again making the little girls look like princesses and fairies. Absolutely beautiful. And thank you to the Market Street folks that were gracious and allowed us to move from our previously contracted spot to keep dry! While it rained right up until about 7am, we were thrilled that it didn't rain during our actual sessions!!!

Too many sneak peeks for one post...another coming up!
Our Urban Princess sessions at the loft near downtown Houston was a HUGE hit. First, let's start with the decorations...

And we have some of the most beautiful little girls around. Introducing our Urban Princesses in their tutus from Baby Cha Cha!
It is not too late to get in on the fun. We are offering our Woodland Fairy mini sessions on Monday October 5th at Market Street in The Woodlands. We'll be setup in the central park area with lots of tutus to choose from for your portraits. Since we won't be indoors we won't have Fantasy Celebrations with us that day but we'll still have treats for the kids. We are thrilled to announce two special days: September 30th at our downtown Loft, and October 5th at Market Street in The Woodlands, for mini portrait sessions featuring the tutus from Baby Cha Cha Boutique. Our Houston event also will include treats for each little princess and a beautiful princess tea party display from Fantasy Celebrations, which provides Houston's most adorably detailed princess tea parties.

This weekend I took my kids to the Houston Zoo where we had the best time. We are members so we go frequently. Sometimes I bring my camera, sometimes not. This weekend was a time that I did bring my camera and I photographed the kids, some of the animals, and I even shot a little video footage of our visit. Then I made this video about our trip....
After watching it with my kids and seeing how excited they got all over again, it occurred to me that my kids are SOOOOO lucky. Someday they will have this awesome collection of photos, movies, and slideshows from their childhood. They will be able to share with their own families one day. And it made me a little sad too because I have so few photographs from my own childhood. And by the time you really want them it is too late. You can't recapture those times.
So, if you have that fancy camera that you got last Christmas and you haven't taken it out of auto yet, consider taking my beginner's photography class to help jump start your photography. Your kids will thank you for it....someday.
The beginners class is called Baby Steps: Just the Basics.
It covers tips for photographing your kids, the elements that go into
an exposure, the program settings on your camera, lenses, and resources
for sharing pictures. This is a great class if you are stuck on full
auto with your camera and will give you the confidence to try shooting
outside the green box! Plus you can learn what "must have" items
should be on your Christmas list.
Both sessions are scheduled
to take place at our Loft which is just at the edge of downtown and
easily accessible from I-10, I-45, or 59. Class size is limited to 6 participants to allow a more personalized class and plenty of time for questions so sign up early.
