These two kids were adorable and I took a TON of pictures during their mini session because it was just so easy. We found some feathers to blow around and played some tag among the trees. The very first pictures was the first picture from the session and when I saw those big brown eyes I knew I was in trouble. I've had all these great little boys with giant brown eyes lately.
The last time I photographed this little cutie she was just NOT in the mood to have her picture taken. Fast forward three months and her bright blue eyes were taking in the world. She loved watching all the people, and the ducks, at Mary Jo Peckham Park this morning. I love her brown knit hat! The weather was BEAUTIFUL today and not too hot so the fall outfits were great! The holiday portrait season is officially on!
Two year old boys are busy. In that they run from activity to activity until their little batteries wear out and they rest...for two minutes...then run some more. That was definitely the case with this little sweetie who chased ducks for pretty much the entire 1.5 hours we were at the park together.
This was the scene we saw pretty much the whole morning...him chasing the ducks. Notice the baby duck right in front of him. SWEET!!!
Still unsure of me he took to hiding in this little cluster of trees where he could still see the ducks. Then he chased more ducks.
"away from the water" was yelled more times than I could count as he kept trying to get the ducks and they kept running into the water.
Seriously, he paused for about three seconds while looking for more ducks to chase. I'm not kidding. I definitely got my exercise today.
He finally started to warm up to me a little as he told me about the horses, dogs, and cats on his grandparent's farm. He is staying with them while visiting from Colorado and I was so pleased I got to meet him on this visit.
These little boots deserved a picture of their own. They are on their third generation! I added a little vintage and texture to the picture to fit the subject. LOVE THEM.
I really had so much fun this morning with this little guy and his mom. Unfortunately the fire ants were out in force at the park...I gues the rain must have stirred them up. I hope I get to meet his little sibling due in the fall next time the family is in town.
I don't usually photograph couples or adults but my friend Tiffany, a fellow photography, asked me to take some engagement style pictures of her and her husband. How could I say no?
She has absolutely beautiful eyes.
I've totally wanted to use this blue wall on the outside of the community center in Katy and they were game. LOVE IT. Yum. She originally wanted black and whites but, well, this one definitely needs to be in color.
I was so looking forward to this mini-session this morning with a repeat family. The last time I photographed these boys we had a fun golfing and playing with blocks. Today they got to feed the ducks.
We got both of them to smile...in a picture...together, last time. So the bar was set pretty high. Luckily they were "on" today.
Big brother didn't want to stay still for long but he is a pro at smiling for the camera!
Little brother took a little while to warm up to me but are you kidding me with those beautiful eyes!!!!??
And the nice thing for these two little guys is since it was only a mini session they were done in 20 minute and mom took them over to the playground afterward! How lucky for everyone!
We received our first shipment to photograph from Josiekat's Trunk and I was so excited to see this adorable dress. I love the bright fun summery colors which remind me of sherbet. The pompom trim is great.
This sweet 18 month old arrived fresh from a morning nap in the car and was an absolute pleasure to photograph. She actually stayed still! We had to sing some songs and her mom had to dance around to get some smiles but I'm going to have a hard time narrowing down the pictures I took today.
I love her sweet little expression in this picture...
And what little girl doesn't love pushing her own little baby in the stroller. LOVE IT!
Yesterday we lucked out when the rain held off until the very end of a huge portrait party. The host coodinated 13 moms & kids to arrive in 15 minute increments between 8:40 and noon!!! I took over 500 pictures in that time and I can't wait to get through all of them but here is a sneak peek for the moms!
There is just something so adorable about a serious toddler in overalls. Really, isn't he ADORABLE!
This little guy grew up SOOOOO much since I last photographed him in October. His mom reminded me that it was about a million degrees and she dressed him in a sweater for his "Fall" pictures. He didn't want to stay still for long.
Speaking of not staying still, this little sweetie was all over the place but we still got some fun shots. I love mom and grandma in the background of his one. Mom is super tall...6 ft!
Not everyone was happy about getting pictures taken but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture. I gave it a more vintage look which I think totally works with this image.
"come on guys...just one nice one for mom!" Ha! These two were so cute together.
This little girl was happy to show me her charm bracelet which matched her mama's!
Seriously, C.U.T.E. She was busy busy busy too and peek-a-boo was a fun game for her.
Most of this little guy's pictures were with his grandmas but I managed to snap a few of him by himself!
What a happy baby girl! I think she liked the fresh air on her fresh baby skin!
Those curls. Those eyes. Beautiful!
Doesn't she look like she is at the beach? And see that dark corner in the right? That is the major storm blowing in that soaked us as we ran for cover shortly after this picture was taken.
And last but not least...the hostesses daughter. She really wanted to get a chance to wear one of my "tutu" skirts so we setup in the pavilion in spite of the bus loads of kids that were in there having lunch!
I had such a great time with this family this morning at Mary Jo Peckham Park. We couldn't have asked for better weather and they are just a family of beauties!!!
Check out these three gorgeous kids! I liked this one in both color and chocolate.
The oldest girl looking totally fab. I gave her a dreamy post processing.
The middle girl being totally sweet. She was a riot and wanted to do lots of crazy poses!
Look at those eyes. The girls are going to go crazy over this little guy when he gets older!
